My goals for this class is to, first of all, pass. I am also hoping to learn how to get my ideas across in a better way. I would like to be able to explain some things in a way that is easier for people to grasp and fully understand the points I am talking about. In management, communication is key and I am hoping to improve mine at the end of this course.
I seem to do that too much at home and have gotten so tired of it, that I will sit for minutes now thinking of how to respond to important things. Everyone says I overthink things now but its easier than saying what you don't mean.
I am in the same boat as you when i comes to passing this class only because i'm not the best reader and i'm not the best at getting my point across either. Hopefully we can help eachother.
My goal for English 121 this semester is to develop better writing skills. I am not quite sure why I need English for an accounting degree, but I am sure this class will come in handy when I have to help my kids with their english homework.
During this class, i wish to learn how to think more criticially thoughout my papers, essays, and any other writings i am assigned to. Since my field of study is Nursing. I hope English Comp.I will fully prepare me how to express my opinions on paper more clearly at a higher level and prepare me for my career ahead.
My goal for English 121 is to set the foundation for the many papers that will soon follow through out my education. I honestly despise English....(I know, pretty harsh) However, if i can learn the tools for writing with proper grammar and punctuation, I am ten steps farther then where i started. Please Make This Class Fun And Interesting!
I greatly hope that I will improve my basic skills at the least. At the most that I will improve my skills slightly above slightly... I work a lot with emails, communication, and presentions so having a more profound understanding of writing and thinking criticaly will only improve my work.
My most important goal is to PASS! Another gog in the wheel toward a degree.Hopefully it will come to fruition before I expire! This as with many classes will be a challege as I wasn't too adept at English forty years ago.
I'm in English 121 to learn how to begin to read and write at a college level. From what i understand about college is that there's an enourmass amount of writing and reading expected all the way through graduate school. It all seems to begin with english 121. My abilities to operate computers at this level need to be solid as well.
Heard that! I need to work on formatting and I hope this class makes writing papers a little more simple seeing we have a ton to go before we finish school.

When I write I feel like I have many thoughts that I strugle to put together in a way that flows. English is used everyday, so it fits into any scheme of education.
Figurative language is definitely something I could learn a lot more about. Contrary to your desire to learn more about writing effective papers with fewer words, I need to learn how to expand my ideas.
My goal for this class is to expand my knowledge of the English language, how to make papers flow effortlessly, how to make my point more effectively, and how to have clearer storylines. I’m not quite sure how this class will play into my major; mainly because I don’t know what I want to do with my life yet. I do love to write though, so if this class helps me become a better writer, and I come out with an A, I will be a happy camper.
I decided to take English 121 for this summer semester to get back into writing so I can prepare myself for future courses that I will be taking. I figured it would be a good start and a nice challenge for my educational goals and it would fit perfectly in with my work and summer schedule. For this course, I expect to learn some skills to help me write more critically and effectively. I want and need to do my best so I can receive a 90% or higher to build up momentum for the more challenging career based courses I will be taking when I start predental at UCCS. I also needed it for my prerequisites for dental school, and to have enough credits to get accepted to UCCS.
Learning how to communicate is very important in bussiness. I am in a business management degree and learning how to communicate better is also a big goal of mine for this class.
My goal for English 121 is to excel further than where I am as far as writing good papers and gaining more practice. I feel as though I already have the skills to write pretty good papers after taking public speaking, business mangement, and principals of supervision I'm comfortable with writing papers and writing them well. My other goal while taking 121 is to not be lazy when it comes to not wanting to write long papers!
I just look forward to enhancing my own forms of communication. Wether it is a conversation, and argument, an e-mail, or even my essay writing, I believe all will be enhanced through this course.
My goal for this class is to be successful! What i am hoping to take from this class is more knowledge and to take as much from this and learn from it. I also hope to somewhere use the knowledge towards my ultimate goal of dental hygiene.
This class will largely improve the use of different types of figurative languages. I think that I will be able to, in this class, dive deeper into my analytical thinking skills in writing papers. This will be able to gear me for what’s ahead in future writings and set as a foundation for me to reference when I get stuck or lost. The most exciting thing that this class will bring to me is embracing different ideas and point of views from people I’m not closely associated with. My goal for this class is to learn more about different writing styles that will enable me give effective speeches with my future in ministry. The most important thing I would like to learn is writing effective papers with fewer words. In this class, I hope that the knowledge I have will be beneficial to one of my peers, and I hope that what my peers offer will be beneficial to me. I am excited to have a teacher this semester who is motivated about teaching and is empowered to embrace my need for learning and writing progress. I would love to become efficient in proofreading and correcting my own papers.
My ultimate goal for this course is to develop my writing skills, in every aspect. I have been out of high school for several years now, and I am still perfecting my writing in general. I have many bad writing habits that I would like to break.
My main goal is just to become more educated in English, so I can better understand things. I would also like to learn better writing techniques. I'm not entirely sure how it will fit into Radiology, but I'm sure it will help at some point.
My goal for this class is to be able to write to the best of my ability by the end. This goal will help me be a better writer for my future classes that papers maybe required in. And while it won't do much for my career as an LPN it will be vital should I ever publish any of my works.

DeleteMy ultimate goal for this course is to develop my writing skills, in every aspect. I have been out of high school for several years now, and I am still perfecting my writing in general. I have many bad writing habits that I would like to break.
